How to get Ranong
From Bangkok by airplane
From Bangkok the easiest way is to come by airplane. NokAir has two flight a day from Bangkok Don Muang domestic airport to Ranong at 6:00 and 16:00. Flight takes around 1,5 hours

By bus or train-bus combination
You can come by bus Ranong from Phuket, Khao Lak, Bangkok, Surat Thani, Chumphon.
Also train-bus combination is possible from Bangkok (Bangkok-Chumpon by train and Chumpon-Ranong by bus)

Ranong is Thailand’s southern gateway to Burma and definety the best place if want to go diving to Burma. Town itself not provide a lot for tourist attractions, but two islands Koh Phayam and Koh Chang are worth to see. Also hot springs and mangrove national parks are special attractions in the Ranong.
